PADD Dog Tilly

Vale: PADD Dog Tilly

Our condolences go to Dog Squad Officer Cameron at Maryborough Correctional Centre on the sudden death of Passive Alert Detection Dog Tilly.

Tilly was just three-years-old when she suffered a medical event while playing off duty this week. Despite best efforts, she could not be saved.

Tilly aced her training course in in August 2019, and was partnered with Cameron from MCC.

She lived at home with Cameron and was introduced to Cameron’s current GP dog Axe. It didn’t take long for the pair to become great friends.

Tilly was a very friendly dog. She enjoyed a lot of attention and was always up for a good pat. Her purpose in life was waiting for the next time she could play a game of chase with her chew toy.

Tilly showed great energy and enthusiasm in every search she conducted with laser focus when she located contraband.

A highlight of Tilly’s service was assisting QPS with a targeted search of a property in Gympie. Tilly indicated on several areas in the house where searches revealed drug paraphernalia including TCH and methamphetamines.

Tilly was a valued member of the Maryborough Dog Squad and will be sorely missed.

Our condolences go to Cameron and the team at Maryborough Correctional Centre.
