More than 800 roles are available at the new centre, with career opportunities for:
• mental health clinicians with professional qualifications in occupational therapy, social work or psychology, including experienced senior clinicians
• program delivery officers with tertiary qualifications in social work, criminology, education or behavioural science to assess risk and provide interventions through group-based counselling
• education officers to facilitate vocational courses and improve literacy and numeracy.

For example, salaries for entry level professional officer roles, such as mental health clinicians and program delivery officers, begin at $99,348 per annum plus superannuation. Salaries for other roles, such as administration officers, are comparative to similar roles across the Queensland public sector.

Anybody can work at our centre. There is no age limit, however for custodial correctional roles you do need to successfully complete our assessment centre which includes a medical and fitness test.
For the role of Custodial Correctional Officer, you don't require any prior experience or qualifications. Some positions require mandatory qualifications, however this will always be listed within the role description.
Staff will be provided with meals while onsite, with uniforms being provided within the first week of employment.
Every staff member at our new centre will receive comprehensive onboarding specifically designed in accordance with evidence-based practices. On-the-job training and professional development opportunities will also be available.
