Please be aware, if you are successful in securing a role you may be deployed to another Queensland Corrective Services centre in Southeast Queensland in the interim as part of your onboarding experience and training.
More than 800 roles are available at the new centre, with career opportunities including custodial correctional officers, trade instructors, psychologists, administration officers, education officers and more.

Other roles, such as administration and allied health are competitive and comparative to similar roles across the Queensland public sector.

For the role of Custodial Correctional Officer, you don't require any prior experience or qualifications. Some positions require mandatory qualifications, however this will always be listed within the role description.
Staff will be provided with meals while onsite, with uniforms being provided within the first week of employment.
Every staff member at our new centre will receive comprehensive onboarding specifically designed in accordance with evidence-based practices. On-the-job training and professional development opportunities will also be available.
