ALERT: Largest graduation in QCS history

The largest graduation ceremony in Queensland Corrective Services history will see 90 new custodial correctional officers sworn into the front line of public safety this afternoon.

The graduation is the last to be officiated by Commissioner Peter Martin APM before his retirement on July 2.

Thee ceremony is so large that it could not be accommodated at the Queensland Corrective Services Academy, and had to be moved to a venue at Ellen Grove.

This graduation means that more than 500 custodial correctional officers have been recruited and trained by QCS this financial year, with a further 98 currently undertaking training.
