Death in custody – Maryborough Correctional Centre

The Queensland Police Service is investigating the death of a prisoner from Maryborough Correctional Centre.

The prisoner died at Hervey Bay Hospital on December 1 following an alleged incident in custody with two other prisoners on November 26.

Queensland Corrective Services is assisting with the investigation.

No officers were injured.
