From the city lights of North Brisbane to the world-class beaches of the Sunshine Coast and up to the regional delights of Gympie, North Coast Region is an exciting and diverse place to live and work.
Working in North Coast Region means you can benefit from different work environments – from small regional district offices, such as our Gympie District Office, to large offices like our Maroochydore District Office on the Sunshine Coast, which also has three outpost reporting centres.
North Coast Region prides itself on continually developing our workforce, providing learning and professional development opportunities across the region. This includes opportunities to be a part of regional action groups related to specific cohorts of supervised individuals, such as Domestic and Family Violence, Women and First Nations. Participating in and contributing to these groups allows our officers to broaden their case management skills while also enhancing our region’s knowledge base and expertise.
You will gain exposure to a range of duties, including court advisory, community service work, drug testing, home visits and general case management.
Each office in our region fosters strong stakeholder relationships with the Queensland Police Service, other related government agencies and Domestic and Family Violence support services to assist and support the work we do. We also have a strong relationship with Sunny Street Medical who provides health care services, either through their medical clinic or outreach services, for our supervised individuals.
The region regularly shares in celebrations of special events with morning teas and local competitions. Highlights include the Regional Christmas Decoration Competition, Easter competition and Child Safety Christmas Drive.
Our officers regularly showcase the work QCS does by participating in student information days at local universities and career expos, as well as contribute to community initiatives for important social/awareness issues such as NAIDOC Week, International Women’s Day, Domestic and Family Violence prevention.
We are passionate about the work we do for the communities in which we live and work, and for the individuals we supervise. We are responsive, inclusive and individualised in our approach to behaviour change.
